What Outbound Operators Scoring is
Scoring checks every phone number on your list before it reaches your dialer. It tells you which lines are live and how likely someone is to pick up, so your reps spend their time on real conversations instead of disconnected lines and voicemail.
Fewer bad dials also protects your caller ID. Phone carriers flag numbers that make lots of failed calls as spam, which hurts connect rates for every call after.
- Buy credits — $0.45 each, 1 credit per phone number scored.
- Upload your list in your account, or send it from the Lists portal.
- Match your columns and confirm.
- We check your balance covers the list, then scoring starts.
- Get an email when your scored file is ready, then download it.
What P1, P2, P3 and NA mean
Highest priority
Strongest signs of an active, answering line.
What to do: Dial first. Give these to your best reps during your best calling hours.
Standard priority
Verified active line with a solid chance of connecting.
What to do: Work through your normal multi-touch calling cadence.
Low priority
Active line, but people rarely pick up (desk lines, gatekeepers).
What to do: Dial after P1 and P2, or move to a lighter follow-up cadence.
Needs attention
Bad data — the number couldn't be verified as a usable line.
What to do: Do not dial. Fix or replace the bad data, then re-score the contact.
Scoring types
Three ways to score a list — pick based on how fresh your data is and how fast you need it.
Lightning Scoring
1 credit per phone number
Turnaround: 24–48 hours
Fastest option. We verify the numbers already on your list and score each one P1, P2, P3 or NA.
Best for freshly pulled lists you want to dial this week.
Titan Scoring
3 credits per phone number
Turnaround: About 7 business days
A deeper verification pass on each number, so it takes longer — but what comes back has been checked harder.
Best for high-stakes campaigns where accuracy matters more than speed.
Enrich + Score
3 credits per contact
Turnaround: Typically a few business days
For contacts who arrive without a usable phone number. We source new numbers for them first, then score what we find.
Best for reviving lists with a lot of missing or bad phone data.
Every type returns the same P1, P2, P3 and NA scores. With Enrich + Score, NA can also mean we couldn't source a usable number for that contact.
Pre-flight checklist
- One header row on line 1, one contact per row.
- No merged cells, notes, or blank rows at the top.
- First Name, Last Name and at least one phone column.
- Exactly one phone number per cell, no extensions or notes.
- US or Canada 10-digit numbers (international numbers from North America, EMEA or Australia are also supported — see the FAQ below).
- CSV (UTF-8) or Excel .xlsx, under 20 MB.
- Keep any Outbound Operators ID column in the file.
Formatting your file
- Required: First Name, Last Name and at least one phone column. You can include up to five: Mobile, Phone, Phone 2, Phone 3, Phone 4.
- Recommended: Company Name, Title and Email.
- Phone: one number per cell. Remove notes like "ext 104" or "call after 3".
- Layout: one header row, one contact per row, no merged cells or blank rows at the top.
The 3 most common upload problems
- Several numbers in one cell — split them into separate phone columns.
- Title or notes above the header row — delete those rows so headers are on line 1.
- Blank or summary rows at the bottom — delete them before uploading.
These rules match the Lists portal. For more detail see Formatting your file in the Lists guide.
Outbound Operators IDs
Every contact carries a permanent Outbound Operators ID. Lists from the Lists portal use OOL-… IDs; files uploaded straight to Scoring get OOS-… IDs.
Existing IDs are kept exactly as they are, and every download includes them — so your original file, the scored file, the Lists portal and Salesforce all line up row for row. Keep the ID column in future files for the most reliable matching. More on IDs.
Sending lists from the Lists portal
On lists.outboundoperators.com, click Submit for Scoring on a completed list. Scoring opens in a new tab with the list already loaded and columns matched.
- Contacts missing First Name, Last Name or Phone are left out automatically.
- Scoring has its own sign-in and its own credits, separate from the Lists portal.
- Use the same work email on both sites so everything stays connected.
- Results go to Salesforce. Lists sent from the Lists portal don't get a results file here — the scores sync straight into your Salesforce account. In your Scoring portal these lists show a "Synced to Salesforce" badge.
- Rescoring these lists: export the scored records from Salesforce, then upload that file here as a new list for the next pass.
Rescoring rules & limits
- Each list can be scored 5 times: the first scoring plus up to 4 rescores.
- Your scored files show which pass each result is (for example "Pass 2 of 5") and how many rescores are left.
- After the 5th pass, the Rescore button is no longer offered.
- Want to keep going? Take the results file from the 5th pass and upload the remaining contacts as a new list.
What happens after you submit
Once we receive your list, we check that your account's credit balance can cover scoring every number on it.
Balance covers the list
Your list goes straight into scoring. No action needed from you.
Balance falls short
We do not score the list. We reach out to you first, and scoring starts once your balance is topped up. This pauses your turnaround time — any delay here delays the SLA for that list.
Tip: check your balance under Buy credits before submitting a large list, so scoring starts right away.
Credits & expiration
- 1 credit per phone number scored.
- Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. The oldest credits are used first, and your account shows when the next batch expires.
- TitanX dialer seat credits (2,000 per seat per month) reset on your contract date each month and don't roll over. They're always used before purchased credits.
- Bank transfer purchases become usable once payment arrives. Card purchases are usable right away.
Your account & team
Sign in with your work email — we send you a one-time sign-in link, no password needed. Sign-in links only go to emails tied to an account with a credit purchase or a dialer plan, so your account is created for you when you first buy credits or when your company is set up.
Share access with your team
Credits, lists and scored files belong to your company, not one person. In the Team section of your account, add a teammate's work email and they can sign in with their own email to upload lists and download results from the same shared balance.
- Each email can belong to one company only.
- The original buyer is the account owner and can't be removed.
- Teammates can add or remove other teammates.
A clear record of every list
Every submitted list and scored file shows who submitted it and exactly when, so you can always trace a file back to the person who sent it — even when several teammates share one account.
Results & dialing best practices
- Download your scored file from Your scored files in your account.
- Load P1 first, then P2. Save P3 for later passes.
- Never dial NA numbers — they hurt your caller ID reputation.
- Phone data changes. Re-score lists older than 60–90 days before a new campaign.
- Compare lists over time in Scoring performance.
Frequently asked questions
Do disconnected or invalid numbers use credits?
Yes. Every number is checked, and that check is what tells you it's NA. Removing NA numbers saves rep time and protects your caller ID.
What happens to contacts missing a name or phone number?
They're flagged during column matching and left out of scoring, so you don't spend credits on them.
Can you score international numbers?
Yes. The platform supports scoring international numbers in North America (including the US and Canada), EMEA, and Australia.
Do my credits expire?
Purchased credits are valid for 12 months from the purchase date. The oldest credits are used first. TitanX dialer seat credits reset each month on your contract date and don't roll over.
If I have dialer seat credits and purchased credits, which are used first?
Your monthly dialer seat credits are used first. Purchased credits are only used once the monthly allowance runs out.
Which scoring type should I choose?
Lightning for fresh lists you want to dial this week (1 credit/number, 24–48h). Titan for a deeper verification pass when accuracy matters most (3 credits/number, ~7 business days). Enrich + Score when contacts are missing usable numbers — we source numbers first, then score (3 credits/contact).
How long does scoring take?
Results are often ready within one business day. We email you as soon as your scored file is ready. The turnaround clock starts once your list passes the balance check (see After you submit).
How do I match results back to my CRM?
Use the Outbound Operators ID column (OOL-... or OOS-...) in the export. It's the same ID on your original file, the Lists portal and Salesforce.
My list is in the Lists portal. Do I need to re-upload it?
No. Click Submit for Scoring on the completed list and it opens here, already loaded.
Why were some contacts left out when I submitted from the Lists portal?
Scoring needs First Name, Last Name and Phone. Contacts missing any of these are excluded, and you can download them from the Lists portal.
Can my teammates use our company's credits?
Yes. Open the Team section in your account and add their work email. They can then sign in with their own email and see the same credit balance, lists and scored files. Each email can belong to one company only.
Why does it say 'No account found' when I try to sign in?
Sign-in links only go to emails tied to an account with a credit purchase or a dialer plan. If you see this message, buy credits first, ask a teammate to add your email from the Team section, or reach out to Ryan, Ronen, or Andrew.
Can I see who uploaded a list?
Yes. Every list and scored file shows who submitted it and when, so there's always a clear record — useful when several teammates share one account.
Are credit purchases refundable?
All credit sales are final.
Who do I contact for larger volumes or help?
Reach out to Ryan, Ronen, or Andrew — or your Outbound Operators account manager.
Still need help?
Reach out to Ryan, Ronen, or Andrew with any questions — about scoring, larger volumes, or a full Outbound Operators program.
